j-century: Alayla, the Goddess of war Greeting to all visitors and fellow friends. Welcome again to my gallery. Hereby to present Alayla, the Goddess of war who represent constellation of Virgo. She is almost invincible in close combat, no one can stand before her in the warfield. As you can see, her Gold-plated armor, or maybe you can say it’s made by Gold-copper alloys are very ancient chinese style, well if you watch the movie “Curse of the Golden Flower” (满城尽带黄金甲) you will know what I’m talking about. Okay skip the armors topic, we switch to her weapon and shield. I use Spartan’s shield in previous render, and my friend Raverunner gave me some consultation and opinions so I decided to change her shield. The Imperial Crusader Shield, originally from Lineage-II. The color, the size and the makings really match Alayla’s armor and theme. For the sword, actually there’s suppose to be some Damascus steel texture on the sword surface but I don’t know why the texture doesn’t bump up. Damascus steel or Wootz Steel, in the Middle Ages (from the 12th century to 18th centuries), Damascus steel used to build weapons in Middle East, the sharpness and quality is not inferior to the Japanese Katana. Alayla, the Goddess of war
